Red 50’s Wiring (Vintage High Pass Filter) This wiring was found in the first gen of electric guitars. It features a transparent sound as you roll off the volume at the cost of a steep volume taper and an on/off tone control that interacts a lot with your volume position
Blue Modern Wiring: (Low pass Filter) This comes standard in most instruments and is what most people are familiar with when it comes to functionality. This style is what you call a low pass filter, meaning as you roll the volume down more highs will disappear.
Green Treble Bleed (Modern High pass Filter) Often called a “Volume bleed”, this circuit changes the modern wiring into a high pass filter. Get this kit if you like to use both your volume and tone control a lot and want more highs at lower volumes.

Requirements

Converting an Import or MIJ guitar to US spec
- CTS pots will require you to have a US spec control plates as the pot holes have to be 3/8th. Double check if your control plates are already 3/8th before replacing. Some guitars come stock with a US spec control plates even though they have metric pots.
- If swapping to CTS you will need new "1/4th" knobs for the solid shaft version, or 24 tooth "fine" knurled knobs if you choose knurled
Getting the correct knobs can stop you from damaging the pot when installing
- if installing CTS in your Made in Mexico guitar, you will need new "1/4th" knobs as the stock 6mm knobs wont fit
- If buying knobs for your kit double check you are purchasing the correct knob pattern as each style will only fit their designed pot.
