The 1980s not only saw a massive shift in musical tastes, it also bore the emergence of the “Boutique” pickup market. In an effort to keep up, the PAF was overhauled with Ceramic-8 magnets that infused it with high output and a bright, aggressive tone.

The Gunstreet 80s Era Humbucker dispenses with the infamous “double screw” setup, employing the signature Ceramic-8 magnets of the ‘80s in a traditional PAF layout. The result is a pickup without the harsh, overly compressed qualities of the 80s… while still allowing for the distinctly massive sound of “grimy digits” that marked this era in PAF history.
