How to install

Tips for an easy installation

    • Always reach out if you have questions, or need any help troubleshooting. We are the pros.

    • Test fit before soldering. Contact us if you have any issues

    • Never remove heatshrink. It's designed to be there

    • When soldering, take small breaks between your joints to let your iron heat back up. If using lead-free solder, never solder for more than 4 seconds at a time on lugs, as you can fry the part.

    • Once installed, test the controls by lightly tapping your pickup(s) with a metal object

    • Never force a knob on that doesn't fit. This can kill your pot.

Even though this instruction is using the Modern filter circuit, the install is the same for Treble Bleed

Bridge Pickup 1: Hot

Solder the bridge pickup's "hot" (+ positive) wire, as shown on the diagram, to the top-right lug.

Bridge Pickup 2: Ground

Solder the Bridge Pickup's 'Ground' wire (also known as the '-' wire on the diagram) to a pot casing. On this guitar, the volume pot was the easiest access point.

Optional: Sheilding ground

Since the tailpiece is grounded through the bridge pickup's steel baseplate, there is no separate tailpiece ground. However, if you have cavity shielding like this guitar, you will want to solder the jumper wires to one of the pot casings; on this guitar, the tone pot was the easiest.

Output Wire Install: Hot wire

It is very important that you pay close attention to the diagram showing where each output wire is soldered. Failing to connect these wires in the correct location will cause a nonstop hum when the instrument is plugged in. Next, solder the white 'output' wire to the hot lug.

Lastly, solder the colored ground wire to the inner ground lug.

And thats it!

Test the controls before restringing the guitar by lightly tapping the pickups with a metal object.

[VERY IMPORTANT!]

Every install is slightly different, whether due to issues with your overall skill level or questions about your pickups' color code. If you need any help, info, or guidance, we are here to assist you. Visit this link to contact us Click here
